Speaking Opportunity

Each month we invite an expert speaker to the Northern Rivers Business Connection Events so that they are able to share insights, inspiration and practical tips for attendees to be able to apply directly into their business.

These events are designed for connection, learning and collective growth.


The events are run on the 3rd Thursday of every month at Husk Distillery. Keeping the format consistent so that business owners can lock it in as their monthly fix of connection with like-minds or drop in when they have capacity to join.

$10 of every ticket is donated to NRCF, supporting our local community ⭐️



4.30pm Complimentary drink & nibbles on arrival while connecting.

6.10pm Q&A and discussion

4 emails per month: Promoting the event in advance (3) + one post event email. As a speaker you will be featured in each of these emails with a link to your business on the event booking page.

Social Media: We will share the event in advance as well as links post event. (Instagram, FB, LinkedIn)

On the night: Your speaking spot will be recorded using bluetooth mic for super crisp sound and shared with the collective after the event. You can also have access to share through your platforms.

The Collective

The events have been running monthly since March 2024 and have consistently had 30-40 business owners attending. The room is a mix of women, men and different types of businesses from retail owners to coaches, tradies, restaurant owners, artists and beyond!

As part of the events we have a collective page with links to everyone's businesses so that the connection can continue post events.



Are these paid speaking events?

No. Our exchange is to promote you and your business with our collective. Each of our speakers have picked up multiple clients from speaking at the events.

Beyond running the events our focus is on being able to contribute to the Northern Rivers Community Foundation.

Will there be a projector so I can share slides?

Yes! We ask that you supply as a pdf 1920x1080 three days prior to the event.

The internet can be a bit hit and miss so we ask that you email us through your slides prior to the event so we can have downloaded and ready to go.

At this stage we just use arrow keys on the laptop to go through slides. As the events gorw and evolve, so will we 😊

Will you have links to my business on the night?

Yes! We will have a QR code on the slides before you speak and we encourage you to also add an easy qr code to the end of your slide presentation.

Can I offer a doorprize?

Yes we would absolutely love that. Offering a doorprize at the end of your presentation definitely adds the cherry on top.

The response from attendees to the idea of winning a prize from your business definitely lights up the room.

Can I get access to the mailing list?

While we can't give you direct access to the database, we definitely encourage you to share something on the night where attendees will need to provide their email address to get access.

For example; perhaps access to your slides or an offer/promo.
